There is a service of Holy Communion in church each Wednesday. There are six Sunday services at Emmanuel - four in the church, one at Eastbury School and one at Hillside School. 

WEDNESDAYS

Each Wednesday at 11am there is a service of Holy Communion with prayers for healing in the Chapel. This uses the liturgy from the Book of Common Prayer.

SUNDAYS

A selection of sermons are available to listen to on the Internet or download to listen offline. These are available in the Downloads section.

8.00am Holy Communion
A service held in the Chapel using the liturgy from the Book of Common Prayer. Each week a different member of the clergy presides and generally one of our Readers gives the address.

9.30am Informal Worship
Worship and teaching for adults and children. The service starts with a 20 minute period of worship involving all ages. There is a mixture of traditional hymns, worship songs and children’s items and presentations. Following this the children disperse to various age related teaching groups (ages 0-11), and the younger teens (school years 7 to 9) to Frantic. There is a crèche available for babies. Worship and teaching continues for adults in the church.

There is an opportunity for prayer ministry at the end of the service and the congregation is invited to have coffee in the Africa Lounge afterwards. On the fourth Sunday of the month the service includes Holy Communion.

11.00am Morning Worship
A more formal service following the pattern from Common Worship. On the first Sunday of the month there is a service of Holy Communion.

6.30pm Evening Worship
An informal service varied with a mix of hymns and new songs, and an opportunity for prayer ministry at the end of the service. On the third Sunday of the month there is a service of Holy Communion.

Church Plants

10.00am Eastbury Church
Held at Eastbury Farm School,  Bishops Ave, Northwood. There is a one hour worship service with children’s/ youth groups and crèche.  More information is available via the Eastbury Quick Link.

11.00am Hillside Community Church
Held in the Infant school hall at Hillside School, Northwood Way, Northwood. The church has a welcoming, warm atmosphere and the largely non-liturgical services are conducted in a relaxed but reverent way. More information is available via the Hillside Quick Link.
