Hillside Community Church is a Christian Community for the local Community.

The Local Community that we serve splits into four areas...

Hillside Junior and Infant School – We meet here on a Sunday and we are involved in School life. This includes taking assemblies, visiting classes, attending social events and serving as Governors.

Northwood Secondary School – Here we have a growing relationship with a number of the Christian staff. We meet to pray with them on a weekly basis. We hope that this involvement will grow when time and resources allow.

The Surrounding Geographical Area – The streets around the schools where students and their families live. It includes Northwood Health Centre, Northwood Hills Library and a few shops and pubs. It is an area of cultural, social and economic diversity, but we believe that the good news of Jesus Christ is for every one.

Our “Virtual” Communities.  As a church, we meet a variety of people in our day to day lives: colleagues, neighbours, friends, in shops, cafes or at the school gate.

As a Christian Community we prioritise relationships: loving God and loving our neighbour. We seek to shape ourselves in a way that best serves our local community:

• Our Sunday Services are informal in feel, Bible centred and seek to equip us for our daily lives and the Church’s Mission.
• There are groups for children to find out more about Jesus in ways which are relevant to them.
• We meet to pray regularly for those we serve and for the Church.
• Being a small church, we are working to build a community of love and trust, where people find acceptance and welcome.
