Children and families are a key part of the life of our Church family here at Emmanuel.
We have safe, fun and friendly children’s groups for every age group, running each Sunday as part of our 10:30 Family Service, as well as sessions for your children to enjoy during the week. Our team are all enhanced DBS-checked, trained in safeguarding, and most have significant experience of working with children.
Sunday 10:30am Groups for 2-11’s
During our 10:30am service there are 4 different age groups running for children and youth.
Children are invited to go out to their group @ 10.45am for an hour.
Parents/Carers of those aged 2+ are welcome to either drop off and go back into church service, or stay to help them settle in the group.. Parents/Carers of Under-2s are welcome to either stay in the service (making use of toddler bags and soft play area if wanted) or use a more private area in Betty’s Room where the service is live-streamed.
If you are planning a first visit, please aim to arrive early (between 10 & 10.15am) so we have time to register your child(ren) and get you the necessary information.
Other Groups
Tuesdays (term time)
9.45am-11am | Group for mums with children aged 0-4 | Free
An opportunity for mums with children aged 0-4 years to gather, encounter God and grow in faith together in this unique stage of life. A creche is provided.
No booking required.
Thursdays (term time)
10am -11:45am | Stay & Play for parents and their toddlers/infants
Let your little one play and interact with other little ones. 2 large rooms full of toys and free play areas.
They can also: make crafts, hear stories, and sing & dance to nursery rhymes [yes.. there’s bubbles too!].
You can connect with other parents & carers in the area over a cup of tea or coffee.
Each adult can bring up to 2*
children with a donation of £2.
*exception for twins and triplets

11.30-11:45am | Wiggle & Worship
Optional session: Interactive bible story with singing & bubble prayers.

1st* Friday of the month (term time)
6-7pm | Years 3-6 | Free
An exciting kids’ club for everyone in School Years 3 to 6: Come along for a fun-filled evening packed with games, crafts, sports, and more. There is an amazing tuck shop with sweets, chocolate, and a choice of drinks. [Please bring up to £2].

10- 11.30am | Free | Stay & Play
Calling all Dads, Granddads and
male carers! Why not give Mum
the morning off ? Come and
enjoy some Breakfast and a
chance to meet/catch up with
other dads, while little ones play
together with Toys, Games, Sports,
Arts & Crafts. Soft play baby area
available. Emmanuel Church
