At Emmanuel we want to enable older generations to flourish, develop close friendships, grow in their faith, experience new things and have the support and care they need. We have two main midweek opportunities for seniors to gather together
Wednesday Fellowship welcomes all seniors to the Lounge at Emmanuel from 2.15-4pm every Wednesday (in school term time) for an afternoon of fun and friendship.
Our afternoon programme includes listening to interesting speakers, watching a slide presentation of journeys afar or participating in a quiz, craft, or listening to musical entertainment. Each week we have a short thought for the day, some much loved hymns and prayers alongside our activities.
All are welcome to attend from both the church and the community and we have some residents from local care homes come along too. There’s no need to book or to let us know you are coming. For more information, please contact Tim Meathrel, our Senior Leader, tim.meathrel@ecn.org.uk.
Oyster is a small group for seniors. It meets every Monday afternoon from 2-3pm at Emmanuel. Each week there is an opportunity to study the bible together and to support each other in prayer.
