LOVE NORTHWOOD THIS CHRISTMAS
‘The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world’ – John 1:9
At Christmas we celebrate that Jesus came into the world and the difference He makes in Northwood today. Christmas is for many a joyful time, but for others it might be a hard season that’s approaching. As a church we want to make a difference and let everyone know they’re invited to join us at Emmanuel and spread God’s love to the whole of Northwood and further beyond.
Love Your Neighbour this Christmas
Who is your neighbour? The person living next to you, the parents in your child’s class, the people at your gym. The list goes on and on… The question is, what can you do to love your neighbour this Christmas?
Here are some ideas of how you can reach out this Christmas:
Drop off some Christmas Chocolates or a Christmas Card
Invite some neighbours over:
To bake Christmas Cakes
For a Christmas Gift Wrapping Party
For some festive drinks & nibbles
Light up your house to show how ‘the light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it’ (John 1:5)
Invite a friend or a neighbour who will be alone this Christmas to join you in your home or for one of our Christmas services
There are countless ways we can make a difference this Christmas! We would love to encourage you to pray and think about one way you can love your neighbour this Christmas!
Love Northwood Outreach - Saturday December 6th 10am-12noon
On Saturday December 6th we are going out into the streets of Northwood to offer some Christmas treats and invitations to our neighbours. Join us to pray and prepare at the church at 10am, we will then be outside chatting with neighbours from 10:30am-11:30am, before we finish praying for our neighbourhood.
We would love for you to join us, whether it is your first time or you’ve done this on multiple occasions previously.
Please contact Nína if you want more information.
