Naked Truth Workshop

Helping Parents Navigate the Digital Landscape

On Saturday February 28th all parents and carers are invited to set aside time to learn how they best can support their children growing up online.

The Naked Truth Project Workshop is designed to equip parents and carers with clarity, confidence and practical tools to engage their children in meaningful conversations about online safety, pornography and healthy digital habits — helping families navigate this world with wisdom and courage.

Over 4000 parents and carers have attended PG/Naked Truth Workshops. 98% of participants report feeling more confident after attending the session.

Who is the morning for?

All parents of children under the age of 18.

Who is speaking at the event?

The Naked Truth Project’s relationship and parenting coordinator, Mandy Marshall-Taylor, is facilitating the morning.  For more information about the UK charity the Naked Truth Project, please have a look online: Naked Truth Project

Why is this workshop important?

58% of 12 -15s who game online say they talk to people they don’t know (OFCOM, 2023).

10% of children have seen porn by the age of 9, rising to 27% by the age 13 (Children’s Commissioner, 2024).

44% of boys aged 11 -16 who consume porn say it gives them ideas about the type of sex they want to try (NSPCC).

We are living in what could be called the ‘porn in their pocket’ generation. Pornography has never been more accessible, affordable, anonymous or addictive. 10% of children have seen porn by the age of 9, rising to 27% by the age 13 (Children’s Commissioner, 2024). With online exposure starting younger and shaping expectations early, parents are often left wondering: How do I even begin this conversation? What if I say the wrong thing? Am I already too late?

What does the workshop offer?

- Up-to-date understanding of the digital landscape around pornography, including risks, trends, and children’s exposure.
- Practical language and confidence to start age-appropriate conversations about pornography, online safety, boundaries, and healthy habits.
- Tools and strategies to foster ongoing dialogue (not just a one-off talk) at home.
- A space where parents can learn together, share experiences, and be encouraged by one another, opening up conversations that continue long after the workshop ends.
